Travis Burhop - Why should schools check Physical Fitness of Students?

The Obesity has become so menacing that it is affecting even small children. It is because of the lifestyle that students are adopting. They keep sitting in front of the Television, video game terminals or keep watching their mobile or IPad screens most of the time. There is no physical activity due to which the entire metabolism gets affected. The fitness levels of children have dropped to the lowest. Unless schools become more serious and work along with their physical educator to check children's fitness levels, the nation is going to witness a generation of sick and unhealthy children.

Physical educators should take initiative and inspire students to play more and bring a balance between work and play. Travis Burhop, an experienced physical instructor from the University of California has devoted his entire life to educating students on the importance of physical exercise and diet to stay healthy. He says schools should periodically check the fitness of students and their activity levels. In his article "TravisBurhop – Why Schools Should Check Students Physical Fitness" he opined schools should involve themselves to promote physical training since it increases the overall wellbeing of children, improves mental abilities, reduces obesity and related costs, enhances academic performance etc. The periodic checking of physical fitness by schools ensures that children acquire the habit of a healthy lifestyle at an early age. According to TravisBurhop - Importance of a Good Educator has to be realized by schools and employ a good Physical instructor to improve the health of their students.
